This was taken in a restaurant with live dancers. What amazed me was that the guests were sitting like the Japanese on the floor at very low tables. Now after 30 plus years of Japanese culture, I have a hard time sitting at these low tables. Even the Japanese usually go to the higher tables with chairs rather than scrunch up their legs on the floor and then have no back support. When I have to join a low table group, I always look for a place where I can lean back against a wall and then stretch me feet out under the table--which kind of makes it hard for the person across if they want to do the same thing!
