camp pizza

Each kid could make his own pizza.
A few mother's helped. One mother had made all the dough before hand and had nice small balls and a pizza pad with the size for them to roll out to.
One of the camp owners had this oven that he put the pizzas in one at a time. Sure didn't take long and they looked delicious. Too bad we hadn't signed up to make our own!

Camp in Chiba

Okay, this cutie is not my granddaughter. But she sure is precious. I couldn't resist taking this photo. Her mom put her here for just a few minutes so she could go do something free handed.
Here are 2 more sweetie pies. Actually they are sisters to the baby. 8 kids in all. All so good looking.

In the left background you can see my Jack drooling over a huge expensive motor bike. He dreams of owning one like that, but I'm very negative about such a purchase! I don't want to be a widow at my young age!

This camp was so much fun to visit, we kind of hope next year we can join them for the night! This camp site also has cabins and maybe I would prefer that? I spent my life until now tent camping or motor home camping. Maybe I have graduated?

Rainbow lasted

The rainbow stayed quite a while and I got these almost sunset shots of it. Now is typhoon time so nice to think back to God's promise that He would never destroy the world again with a worldwide flood. Just think next time he will use FIRE.

Rainbow

We get quite a bit of rain here in Japan, but seldom do we get this kind of beautiful rainbow. I tell people that God doesn't give the Japanese the rainbow so often because they don't believe in Him. But there is probably a scientific reason too. Anyway I was so happy to see this wonderful promise of God that I had to take many photos. I can honestly say I've never seen a better one here in Chiba. Now Idaho has much clearer better ones than this.


Below is my little fish pool overgrown with water flowers. These flowers are beautiful but I have to clear out the pool so the fish can get around okay. There is a soft sticky green algae that grows down on the roots of these that need stripping off or the fish get stuck and can't move.

Garb Nuts

My brother's other new project is Garb Nuts. These are garbanzoes or chickapeas he gets from his neighbor's field. He soaks them over night in a bucket where they will swell twice the size.

Then they are drained dry and measured and put into very hot oil for about 10 minutes, drained again and put into a silver bowl.
His normal spices are lightly salted, cinnamon sugar, and red pepper. But I wanted to try something new so below are the things I decided to try. I liked the MollymcButter and MollymcCheeze mixture the best.
Nephew Ryan was a great help. He is still trying to figure out how to make a chocolate one.

dried apples

My brother and his wife have this new project of making dried apple rings. Here they are working. They've figured out a process where they take out the seeds, slice and stack on the drying racks. These Granny Smith apples are sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and the final product is yummy.

Soccer fun

On Sabbath afternoon the Japanese kids come to the park near Koji's and Koji and Mi-chan and a bunch of the Japanese/American/Korean/whoever wants to join/ come and play soccer. I even joined once and was goal keeper. Here some of the boys are showing off their balance.
